Cassandra Higgins, BS is a Research Technician in the DeBosch Lab. She originally hails from St. Charles, MO and attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. There, she majored in Biochemistry and served as a section leader for Marching Mizzou (Mellophone). She trained as an undergraduate in Jay J. Thelen’s laboratory, and has now become the lifeblood of the laboratory's operations! Apart from research, Cassie enjoys baking, boating, attending Mizzou Football tailgates, and spending time with Chris (husband), Joanna (daughter) and Finley (puppy).

Completed his BS in Biochemistry at the University of Missouri, Columbia where he worked in the laboratory of Jay Thelen, PhD. He spent two years as a scientist in industry before deciding to jump back into academia to chase the thrill of independent discovery. His long term goal is to go to graduate school to earn a PhD and ultimately run a program that studies planaria regeneration.
